Writer and chief editor of Catorze
Eva Piquer is a writer. Since 2014, she has edited and directed the platform for cultural creation and dissemination Catorze. She has received the Vaixell de Vapor award for La noia del temps (1996), the Marian Vayreda award for Alícia al país de la televisión (1999), the Josep Pla award for Una victòria diferent (2002) and the Setè Cel de Salt award for Aterratge (2024).

She has made a career as a cultural journalist, has worked as a correspondent in New York and has taught journalism at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. In 2006 she received the Atlàntida award for best columnist in Catalan.
She has been deputy head of culture and coordinator of the cultural supplement of the newspaper Avui and has written for La Vanguardia, El Periódico, Ara, Time Out Barcelona, Nació Digital, Catalan International View and other media. She has collaborated with Catalunya Ràdio and RAC1.
